To dream of a world of such beauty, can call for an imagination that is welcome here.

This breathtaking estate rewards that dream with pervasive, affirming evidence, from its vines to its wines and unforgettable dining, to one's rest in the rarest serenity.

The embrace of accommodation at this historic estate in the Virginia Piedmont was not constructed. It was merely opened, as Gianni and Silvana Zonin resolved to share a residence and dependency where, for decades, their only guests had been family or close friends.

The 18th Century Vineyard Cottage and the residence that is The 1804 Inn, are living treasures of a priceless past and a singularly enchanted present. Monticello and Montpelier, homes of Governor Barbour's good friends, lie just minutes away on the same road. His own mansion, designed by Thomas Jefferson and elegant even in ruins, lends irreplaceable context to one's gaze.
